A menina, hoje com sete anos, foi rejeitada por três vezes em processos de adoção até chegar aos pais, em setembro de 2016.
Levada a Fortaleza em 2014 por um casal cearense que pretendia adotá-la, ela acabou sendo devolvida sob justificativa de que tinha temperamento difícil e era insubordinada, o que dificultava a convivência. A mesma alegação veio nas duas tentativas seguintes de adoção.

A história de Larissa é mais comum do que se imagina. Houve 172 registros nos últimos cinco anos - e o número inclui apenas os 11 Estados que forneceram dados à reportagem.
O Cadastro Nacional de Adoção (CNA) registra cerca de 4,7 mil crianças e adolescentes disponíveis para adoção no país.

"Depois da devolução você se estraçalha, se sente o último dos homens. Literalmente você rola no chão de dor, não desejo isso para ninguém", conta Roberto.
O sonho da paternidade começou a se desfazer logo no começo da guarda provisória da criança, que tinha dois anos à época.
