O ator Wentworth Miller foi vítima de um desses memes da Internet que circulou ontem graças ao desagradável site The LAD Bible. Justapondo uma foto do ator na série Prison Break com uma imagem de anos depois, onde ele estava visivelmente mais gordo, o meme dizia:

Depois de atingir mais de 100.000 likes e reações, o ator, que hoje estrela a série Legends of Tomorrow e se prepara para reprisar o papel de Michael Scofield no reboot de Prison Break, decidiu republicar a imagem (já apagada pelo site em questão) em sua conta pessoal e contou a dura realidade por trás do meme. Ele contou que sofria de depressão, passou a comer muito e quase tirou a própria vida. Em 2013 ele já havia publicamente assumido que era gay quando recusou em carta aberta um convite do governo russo para um festival.

Eu luto contra a depressão desde pequeno. É uma batalha que me custou tempo, oportunidades, relacionamentos e inúmeras noites sem dormir.
I fight against depression since i was child. It is a battle which cost me time, opportunities, relationships and many nights without sleeping.
