A advogada brasiliense Karina Teles, de 39 anos, diz ter descoberto o peso do preconceito no dia-a-dia a partir da convivência com seus filhos, que são negros. Para ela, a consciência sobre o que é ser negro no Brasil veio com a adoção de João, de 6 anos, e Camila, de 5.
O racismo enfrentado por famílias que adotam crianças negras veio à tona recentemente com a denúncia feita pelo casal de atores Bruno Gagliasso e Giovanna Ewbank por comentários feitos na internet sobre sua filha, Titi.

A jornada de Karina e do marido, Hugo Teles, também advogado, começou quando decidiram ter filhos, por fertilização in vitro ou por adoção. Sabiam que teriam dificuldades de conceber um bebê porque o marido teve câncer na infância e passou por quimioterapia, o que afetou sua fertilidade.
"Queríamos ser pais, e a forma como isso se daria, por fertilização ou adoção, seria muito bem aceita", relembra Karina. O casal entrou com o pedido na Vara da Infância e, enquanto esperavam, partiram para a fertilização. O resultado negativo da tentativa in vitro veio antes da resposta da Justiça sobre adoção. E foi assim que Karina teve certeza de que seria, mesmo, mãe adotiva.

"Receber esse apoio foi fundamental. Conhecemos pais na mesma situação e fortalecemos uns aos outros", conta. Mas Karina não esperava enfrentar um momento difícil ao preencher a ficha com o perfil e características físicas da criança que se desejava adotar.

Para a advogada, foi também uma chance de encarar o próprio preconceito.
"Foi um choque. De repente, ao marcar que desejava apenas crianças brancas, descobri ser mais preconceituosa do que imaginava. Também percebi que minha escolha foi baseada pelo medo de não saber lidar com o diferente. Aí a ficha começou a cair: 'como assim, que diferença? Do que estou falando? De diferença de cor, de ser humano? Sou racista e não sabia?'".

Of difference of color, of being human? Am I racist and I did not know?
Karina disse ter entendido que "todos nós, de alguma forma ou de outra, somos preconceituosos e racistas". "E que o racismo é uma coisa tão sutil em alguns momentos, que você nem consegue perceber, até ser confrontado por ele."
A presença de um casal negro no grupo de apoio à adoção, afirma Karina, ajudou ela e o marido a abrir mão da escolha restrita apenas a crianças brancas.
"Eles falavam da dificuldade que enfrentavam com o racismo, suas lutas e dores, mostravam o seu mundo. De repente, eu disse: 'Eu quero isso! Quero amar alguém independentemente da cor, do gene e de qualquer coisa. Ou você ama alguém porque aquela pessoa te faz bem, porque você faz bem àquela pessoa, ou não é verdadeiramente capaz de amar", considera a advogada.

Uma empresa da Rússia especializada em segurança online, o grupo IB, alertou na quarta-feira sobre um ataque coordenado a vários caixas automáticos na Europa, com o uso de um programa malicioso (malware) para fazer com que as máquinas simplesmente cuspissem dinheiro.
E não é preciso sequer usar um cartão ou digitar a senha.
One specialised Russian company in online security, the group IB, alerted on Thursday about one coordinated attack to various ATMs in the Europe, with the use of a malicious programme (malware) to make the machines simply give money.

O IB explicou que hackers conseguem invadir os centros de informações de bancos e instalar ali o programa que permite configurar vários caixas eletrônicos para que entreguem o dinheiro de forma simultânea e em horas predeterminadas.

Os países afetados pelo golpe foram Armênia, Estônia, Holanda, Espanha, Polônia e Reino Unido. A empresa não divulgou quais bancos foram afetados.

According to a study of hematologist Alfred, from Hemocenter of Sao Paulo, researches made in the Brazilian population of 15 to 45 years reveal the presence of anticorpies against the CMV - what indicated that there had infection by the disease - in more than 80% of participant in Rio, in Sao paulo, Salvador and in the state of Santa Catarina.

No entanto, médicos brasileiros apontam o vírus como o principal causador de alterações do sistema nervoso em bebês até a aparição do vírus Zika - e ainda uma fonte de preocupação.
"Sempre que vemos algumas alterações nas crianças, pensamos no CMV primeiro. Principalmente quando vemos calcificações (cicatrizes no cérebro) nas tomografias", disse à BBC Brasil a infectologista Maria Ângela Rocha, do Hospital Universitário Osvaldo Cruz, em Pernambuco.
"É por isso que, quando os casos de Zika apareceram, fizemos questão de investigar primeiro a possibilidade do CMV. E até hoje fazemos isso com todas as crianças."
The CMV is considered as a sexually transmitted infection but doest not show on the website of the department of IST, AIDS and viral hepatitis of Minister.
However, Brazilian doctors point out the virus and the main cause of changes in the nervous system in babies until the showing of Zika virus and still one source of concern.

Ele é pouco conhecido pelo público e foi ofuscado pelo vírus Zika: o citomegalovírus (CMV), que era tido como responsável pela maior parte dos casos de microcefalia e surdez no mundo e que volta a causar alertas da comunidade médica internacional.
"Enquanto todos se preocupam com os bebês infectados pelo Zika, com razão, há outra infecção viral que causa milhares de má-formações congênitas nos Estados Unidos a cada ano", disse ao jornal The New York Times o médico Mark Schleiss, diretor de doenças infecciosas pediátricas da Escola de Medicina da Universidade de Minnesota.

My previous IELTS results
Hello there!
Today I decided to turn this blog into an IELTS supporter tool, which will help you to get at least a BAND 7 in IELTS.
Firstly, I am going to post my results of IELTS just to show you that I have a certain experience with this exam.
My first IELTS exam was on July 04th 2015, and I got:
BAND 5 -> reading
BAND 5.5 -> listening
BAND 6 -> speaking
BAND 6 -> writing
Yeah, I know these scores are a disgrace. However, there is a justify. I did not prepare for the exam, and I had no idea of how the format of the exam was. So, it was obvious that I would receive such an unpleasant score.
Anyway, my second exam was on May 21th 2016, in other words, one year later. And then I got:
BAND 7 -> reading
BAND 7 -> listening
BAND 7 -> speaking
BAND 6.5 -> writing
Yeah, I was so pissed off because I wanted 7 in all sections, but unfortunately I did not pass in the writing section.
Lastly, I did my third IELTS no Dec 10th 2016, and guess what? I failed again =(
I got:
BAND 6.5 -> reading
BAND 6.5 -> listening
BAND 7-> speaking
BAND 7 -> writing
I was focusing on writing so much, that unfortunately my listening and reading skills got worse =(
But, it is ok. At the same time that I was upset about the scores, I was happy as well because I realised that I can get all the scores =]
At this moment, I am studying for the fourth IELTS that will be on Dec 10th 2016. I did not want to wait the next year to get my current dream! =D
