SÃO PAULO – Chega ao Brasil nesta sexta-feira, 1º de julho, o serviço de internet banda larga para residências da norte-americana Hughes. Carregando o título de primeiro lugar no ranking do relatório Measuring Broad America 2015 e intitulado o servidor que melhor cumpre a velocidade prometida, a companhia promete cobrir 100% da área brasileira e focar especialmente em pessoas que hoje não têm a possibilidade de acessar a internet com velocidade.
SÃO PAULO - Comes to Brazil on this next Fridays, 1st of July, the service of broadbad of Internet to residences of North-American Hughes. “Existem dois eixos da exclusão digital”, comenta Rafael Guimarães, presidente da Hughes Brasil. “Algumas pessoas não têm acesso por falta de renda, independentemente da área em que vivem; mas outras vivem em áreas que oferecem uma infraestrutura de conexão precária, com qualidade muito inferior à que vemos aqui em Pinheiros, por exemplo”, explicou, em evento de lançamento no Instituto Tomie Ohtake. É essa segunda situação que a companhia pretende resolver.

This is the second situation that the company intend to solve.

A possibilidade de oferecer banda larga via satélite com preço viável a esses endereços, de acordo com Rafael, existe por conta da tecnologia de banda Ka – uma faixa de operação na qual os satélites trabalham com custo mais baixo com o mesmo padrão por meio de otimização celular e reuso de frequência.  Clientes  De acordo com uma pesquisa da Ipsos encomendada pela própria Hughes, 54% das pessoas em áreas onde a companhia vai operar possuem conexões inferiores àquela prometida pelo satélite da HughesNet.

O mesmo estudo mostrou que 43% das pessoas nessas zonas não possuem acesso à internet fixa.  Os valores não serão dos mais baixos. Os planos residenciais sairão por R$ 249,90 na versão de 10 Mega, R$ 349,90 na de 15 Mega e R$ 449,90 na de 20 Mega. Mesmo assim, Rafael acredita que são valores compatíveis com seu público-alvo.

The residencial plans will cost R$249,90 in the version of 10MB, 349 in the 15MB and 449 in the 20MB. Even for this fact, Rafael believes the values are compatibles with his target public.

 “Verificamos na prática que há milhões de pontos de acesso onde as pessoas instalam tecnologia de rádio e têm custos muito mais altos, tanto de instalação como de mensalidade. Vimos pessoas pagarem 500 reais por mês por conexões de 1 Mps ou 500 Kps”, analisa o presidente.  Embora esteja em lançamento inicialmente em São Paulo, os grandes centros não são exatamente o foco principal da Hughes. “Não faremos marketing ativo para clientes que podem ter acesso à internet de qualidade de outras empresas. Vocês não vão ver propaganda nossa na televisão”, explica Rafael.

“Não temos nada contra as pessoas de Pinheiros e elas terão acesso à nossa cobertura, mas não são o nosso foco”.  Franquia  Recentemente, a Anatel e algumas empresas provedoras criaram polêmica com a possibilidade de corte de conexão de residências que ultrapassassem determinado limite de dados mensais.
We don't have anything against people of Pinheiros and they will have access to our coverage, but they are not our focus. Franchising recently, the Anatal and some companies providers created controversy with the possibility of cut of connection of residences where overpass certain limit of month data.
