RIO — Setembro de 2015. Demitido de uma empresa que prestava serviços à Petrobras, o engenheiro Rodrigo Petrosemolo Saraiva, de 35 anos, decide abrir um negócio para recomeçar profissionalmente.

No mesmo mês, Luis Selva, Marco Seixas, Carla Thompson, Daniela Piacesi, Eduardo Zicker e Celso Valias, sócios do restaurante Las Empanadas, especializado no tradicional salgado argentino, lançam seu sistema de franquia, um ano depois de a empresa nascer como um bistrô no Vidigal.

Os dois lados se cruzaram na feira Expo Franchising, no Riocentro. Dois meses depois, Rodrigo abre seu quiosque no Botafogo Praia Shopping e o Las Empanadas passa a ter sua primeira loja franqueada. Neste período, muito trabalho e alguns erros pela inexperiência.

"No início foi muita correria. Eu não tinha qualquer prática no comércio e eles ainda não tinham maturidade com o sistema de franquia. Mas tudo foi se ajeitando no dia a dia. A vantagem é crescer junto com a marca, e já pretendo abrir outra loja", diz Rodrigo, que toca o quiosque ao lado da mulher, Paula.

Atraídos pelo histórico do sistema, empreendedores apostam nas franquias para se aventurar no mundo dos negócios. Apesar da crise, o sistema teve crescimento de 8,3% no faturamento no ano passado. E uma baixa “taxa de mortalidade”: 3,7%.

Marcos Leite, CEO da empresa, diz que 80% dos frequentadores consomem carne, reduzindo assim os riscos para o novo investidor em apostar todas as fichas em só um nicho de mercado.
