O furacão Matthew já é considerado o mais podereso do Atlântico em quase uma década.
A enorme tempestade, que agora segue em direção à Flórida (EUA), atingiu o Haiti, República Dominicana e Cuba deixando um rastro de destruição, inundações, milhares desabrigados e ao menos 25 mortes.
The Matthew hurricane is already considered the most powerful of Atlantic in almost one decade. The enormous storm, which now is in the direction to Florida (USA), reached Haiti, Dominican republic and Cube lefting a trail of destruction, flood, million homeless and at least 25 deaths.

A foto, feita a partir do espaço, viralizou nas redes sociais e foi descrita como "aterrorizante". Ela mostra a tempestade em cores vibrantes, com destaque para o "olho" cercado por densas nuvens que delineiam o que se assemelha com o formato de um crânio de perfil e dentes.

The picture, made from the space, was widespread in the social networking and was describe as frightful. It demonstrates the hurricane in vibrant colors, especially to the surrounded eye by dense clouds which are linear that seems to a cranium format of peril and teeth.

No Twitter, muitos usuários compararam o furacão Matthew com o personagem "Ghost Rider", da Marvel.
Matthew, contudo, não é personagem fictício e, desde que se formou no fim de setembro perto da fronteira entre a Colômbia e a Venezuela, o furacão já provocou ao menos 25 mortes.
Até agora o maior estrago foi registrado no Haiti. Dados da ONU contabilizam ao menos 21 pessoas mortas no país e 350 mil desalojadas. Também foram registradas quatro mortes na República Dominicana.

Matthew, however, is not a fictional character and, since he graduated at the end of September near to the border between Colombia and Venezuela, the hurricane already provoked at least 25 deaths.
Until now the most damage was registered in Haiti. Data from ONU accounts for at least 21 dead people in the country and 350 thousand homeless. It was registered four deaths as well in the Dominican Republic.

O furacão Andrew foi o último grande a atingir a Flórida, em agosto de 1992, quando provocou ao menos 15 mortes.
Em 2004, passaram pelo Estado norte-americano os furacões Charley, Frances e Ivan. Entre eles, o Ivan destruiu cidades do Caribe e dos Estados Unidos e foi considerado o mais forte da última década - título que pode ser desbancado pelo Matthew.
